How and when can I cancel a Direct Debit Collection Schedule?

 

  • Once you have logged into the L&Z portal please go to 'Direct Debits' at the top of the screen: 

  • In the left hand menu click Customers, then List customers:

  • In the Filter Search Data field type the customer’s name/company name

  • The system will filter out anything without this information leaving only accounts with this name. Click on the Customer ref in the left-hand column to enter the account:

  • Once you have selected the customer account you want to add the schedule in please 

    click on 'Collection Schedules' tab:

  • If there is more than one collection schedule on the account please locate the collection schedule you would like to cancel and click 'Cancel'

  • You will see that the system will open a new tab. Please input reason for cancellation and click 'yes'. Please note if this field is left blank the cancellation will not take effect.

  • You will then see that the 'status' for the schedule will show as 'Cancel'. 

  • If you are cancelling a schedule after a collection is processed than you will see following message;

Please note - 

You can only cancel a collection schedule 3 working days before the collection is due. If you need to cancel a collection a day before or on the date of the collection your only recourse is to contact your customer and ask them to stop the payment at their bank. This is because L&Z have already submitted the file for collection.
